PUBLIC WORKS LABORER AND EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Borough of Topton, Berks County, PA is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Public Works Laborer and Equipment Operator.  This position will maintain borough property, including parks, buildings, and grounds; maintain, repair, and construct roads; snow plowing; vehicle and equipment maintenance; operate specialized heavy equipment; and will perform various maintenance and construction tasks.  Must have a history of safe work habits, efficient time management and organizational skills, the ability to interact with the public in a courteous manner, and have experience working as part of a team.  Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, PA CDL preferred.  Pesticide Application license a plus.  Two year college degree or technical training preferred.  This is a non-exempt position, may include long varied hours, and is required to work in all types of weather conditions. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
